Bachelor’s program in Basics of Psychotherapy
Following the development of the new Austrian Psychotherapiegesetz (psychotherapy act), the Postgraduate Center of the University of Vienna designed a specific curriculum, which makes it possible to complete the first step of psychotherapy training with a bachelor's degree. The curriculum basically contains the contents of the current general introductory course in psychotherapy (Psychotherapeutisches Propädeutikum) and is supplemented by seminars with an academic focus and the writing of a bachelor's paper.
Bachelor’s program in Basics of Psychotherapy
The continuing education bachelor's program targets persons who would like to start psychotherapeutic training in the near future. This continuing education program contains all the contents of the previous general introductory course in psychotherapy (Propädeutikum), accompanying academic seminars and the writing and supervision of a bachelor's paper in the subject area of psychotherapy.
Short Facts
Bachelor-Upgrade
The upgrade is interesting for those who have already completed the general introductory course in psychotherapy (Propädeutikum). By completing additional courses, it is possible to acquire the bachelor's degree (Bachelor of Arts (Continuing Education)).
During the upgrade program, some supplementary modules to the general introductory course in psychotherapy (Psychotherapeutisches Propädeutikum) (additional academic seminars and electives as well as writing a bachelor's paper) have to be completed.
